What are MicroGreens?

Microgreens are young plants harvested just after the first set of true leaves have developed. These tiny greens are typically between 1-3 inches in height and are harvested when they are about 2-4 weeks old. They are packed with nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and have a concentrated flavor that can add a fresh and vibrant taste to various dishes.

Microgreens can be grown from various vegetables, herbs, and legume seeds, such as arugula, basil, broccoli, radish, pea shoots, and many others. They can be grown in soil or hydroponically using a medium such as coconut coir, vermiculite, or rock wool.
